The Earth Sublime

Norah Faith
The Earth is a trust given to mankind,

That we have misused with our eyes so blind,

Cries of the fawn in an empty forest,

Or the black oil drowned fish that has surfaced,

Both of these are signs that we are failing,

As care takers of the Earth; it's dying.

Look just about any where, you will see,

People mistreating the Earth, don't you agree?

Pollution and toxins are in the air,

Could it be that mankind really doesn't care?

Don't think that you can not make a difference,

Each soul on this Earth plays their part in this.

Each and every individual,

For this ailing Earth is responsible.

For years people have been destroying Earth,

Their eyes blind to its real value and worth.

Their only concern is money and ease,

Not caring they've transgressed the boundaries.

Pointing fingers will get us nowhere now,

We need to act and I will tell you how.

We must come together, unite as one,

This is the only way it can be done.

The first man had no nationality,

Belonged to no tribe nor community.

We can't be divided by race or faith,

Not if we want to save the human race.

We must work together to save our planet,

Be undivided and one in spirit.

So please do your part and I will do mine,

Together we will heal this Earth sublime.
