Ingredients

Serves 12
3/4 cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Butter
2 Eggs
1/4 cup Molasses
3 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 teaspoons Ground Ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Allspice`
dash Salt
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions for The Easiest Gingerbread Cookie Recipe

Before You Start
Gather all of the necessary ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Mixing Wet Ingredients
Add the butter and sugar to a large bowl and beat until the butter is fluffy and the mixture is pale yellow. Mix in the molasses and eggs.

Mixing the Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.

Putting it Together
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. The cookie dough should have a firm consistency, but still feel slightly sticky. Place the gingerbread cookie dough in the refrigerator until chilled and firm.

Creating the Cookies
Lightly sprinkle your workspace with all-purpose flour. Roll out the cookie dough until it is approximately 1/4-inch thick. Cut the cookies into gingerbread shapes with cookie cutters.

Baking the Cookies
Arrange your gingerbread cookies on a non-stick cookie sheet and bake for ten minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
