The Easy Way to Unlock RDX Explosives in The Saboteur for Xbox 360

The name of the game says it all. In The Saboteur for Xbox 360, your objective is to aid the French people by sabotaging Nazi outposts, convoys and other structures. While there are many methods to accomplish your various missions, the most useful tool will be explosives. Explosives are necessary to destroy buildings, guard towers and vehicles.

Why use RDX Explosives in The Saboteur?

At the start of the game, you will have access to dynamite. While this will be sufficient at the start of the game, there are several advantages to using RDX instead. First, dynamite is a timed explosive. Once the charge is set you will only have a short time until it explodes. RDX, on the other hand, is remote detonated. Once you set an RDX charge, you can detonated whenever you are ready by pressing the "fire" button a second time. RDX also allows you to set multiple charges before you detonate them. This is helpful when you have multiple targets to take out and don't want to draw attention to yourself by detonating explosives one at a time.

Unlock RDX the Easy Way

To unlock RDX, you must complete the Explosives II (Silver) perk challenge. To complete this challenge, you will need to destroy 5 Nazi vehicles in 300 seconds with dynamite. At first, I tried destroy all 5 vehicles out on the streets. Unfortunately, I kept getting shot by Nazi soldiers or ran out of time every time. Fortunately, I discovered an easy way to complete this without putting yourself in harms way.

Step 1: Steal a Nazi Vehicle

First, you will need to steal a Nazi vehicle and store it in your garage. While out in the city, commandeer a Nazi vehicle and drive it to the nearest safe house. Drive into the garage and exit the vehicle. Your vehicle will automatically be stored in the garage and can be accessed at any time.

Step 2: Destroy the Nazi Vehicles

Once the vehicle has been saved, go to the garage keeper and select the Nazi vehicle from the menu. You should see the vehicle in your garage. Enter the garage and destroy the vehicle with dynamite. Once the vehicle is destroyed, go back the garage keeper and select the Nazi vehicle again. Continue until you have blown up all 5 vehicles.

Tip

If you are having trouble completing the challenge in time, you should complete The Sabotage II perk challenge first. This enables you to set explosives faster.
