The "Eat Better Dog Bowl" is New Approach to the Gulping Dog
New Invention Keeps Dogs from Eating Too Fast
Invented by Mr. Victor Lee, a dog behavior specialist in Singapore, the Eat Better Dog Bowl may just be the answer to those dogs who gulp their food, gobble everything put before them without so much as a bite or a chew, or eat at a rate that causes belly aches or digestive upset.
On a more serious note, dogs who virtually inhale their food can experience the dangerous - and sometimes deadly - condition known as bloat or gastric dilatation-volvulus (twisting). Bloating most often occurs when too much air, water or food is ingested. As the stomach stretches or swells, it may rotate anywhere from 90 to 360 degrees. This twisting traps air, food and fluid in the stomach and can quickly lead to a dog's death.
The Eat Better Dog Bowl is one possible solution to this common problem. Regarding the bowl's design, Lee said in Friday's press release: "The Eat Better Dog Bowl is designed with a wishbone structure in the centre with three apexes and connecting ridges. The wishbone serves as an obstruction to prevent dogs from lapping up all the food in a swift, sweeping motion and inhaling the contents like a vacuum cleaner."
In the press release, Lee said that trials conducted with the Eat Better Dog Bowl found that eating time was significantly slower - as much as five times slower - with the Eat Better Dog Bowl than with conventional dog bowls or feeding containers.
"While dog owners fuss over the type of food for their pet companions, many don't realize that it is just as important to give them the right feeding containers to prevent them from wolfing down their food at lightning speed or getting choked from eating too fast," said Lee.
Described in the press release as space-age-looking, the Eat Better Dog Bowl comes in one size and three colors: blue, pink and white. It's made of tough K-Resin, a high quality plastic, making it virtually unbreakable and chew resistant. It also has a non-slip pad on the bottom, helping to keep the bowl in place.
The Dapper Pet Store is an online distributor of innovative pet products, including the Eat Better Dog Bowl. According to the company's website, the Eat Better Dog Bowl was invented by Mr. Victor Lee after much thought and research. Once designed, Lee introduced his unique dog bowl at pet conventions. Its reception was overwhelming. As a result, Lee has also designed a water bowl named the Drink Better Water Bowl. International patents are pending on both.

Post a Commentthis sounds like a great product. Great report
I really needed this bowl with my boxer. She passed away last year this time. We adopted her from a shelter, and because of her past history she was a fast eater.
