The Effect of Japan's Earthquake on My Personal Business

Japan Tsunami and Earthquake Has Far Reaching Impact!

Lyn Vaccaro
As devastating as the Japan earthquake has been it's not at all surprising that it has impacted the global business world and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I'm another far reaching individual business owner across the globe that's been affected business wise by this event. I know there are some business owners in much worse shape that exist, and my prayers do go out to them. Those of us that engage in a web related business as I do probably have a newfound appreciation for our business lives prior to the Japanese earthquake

My Website

My website called wholepicturehealth.com has been put on hold by my local webmaster at Express Concepts Inc. here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin due to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami event. In my attempts to update and create new content for my readers as well as those I nutritionally consult with I've been at a dead stop now due to the events in Japan. Mostly due to the fact that my webmaster has his hands in a few different business genre's and trading stock is one of them.

Website Additions

I have many completed articles as well as some new videos I'm planning to add to Wholepicturehealth.com. I've submitted these to Express Concepts Inc. located in Milwaukee Wisconsin and I was hoping that they could be made live on my website, but trying to speak with my webmaster seems almost impossible at this time. Looking back on doing business with his company prior to the Japan earthquake I almost feel spoiled. My web guy was always accessible and eager to help me with whatever I was attempting to accomplish with my website. Those were the days!

The Webmaster

Since the Japan earthquake has hit, my webmaster Jim West from ECImainstreet.com is on the phone or at meetings non-stop with those from his other line of work that involves the trading business. My web content as well as the videos I've been busy getting done, are all on hold until some point when the fallout of the Japan earthquake begins to subside. I'm also in need of this man's help with another website that I am currently building, and getting his help at this point is futile. Attempts I've made to contact Jim have been frustrating at best.

During those times where I can actually get him live on the other end of the phone, there are constant interruptions from others calling in to his cell that are in need of speaking with him regarding their trading concerns.

While trying to listen to him, there are moments when the connection is interrupted and momentarily goes silent with the other calls that are coming in from other clients. As a result, the conversation between the two of us becomes skewed and I am unable to put his sentences together well to understand what he's trying to tell me. The conversation usually becomes too frustrating to continue with, and we agree to reconnect later but the same situation seems to occur.

This global turn of events beginning with the Japanese earthquake has become as far reaching in it's impact as any event I can remember in my lifetime of 49 years. It has made me see how we are all inter-related and what a network we all really are here on the planet.

I continue to be patient waiting things out until some of this subsides, but it's very unclear when that time will arrive and I'm bracing myself for a long wait, as well as implementing some other ways to accomplish my goals to assist me in making money via my website and the other web related work I'm involved in until my webmaster frees up. I'm only one of his website customers so I'm in for a wait even after the impact from Japan has somewhat passed due to all of his other website clients standing in line waiting for him as well.

I wish the world wasn't so "small."
