The Effects of Nearly 16 Yrs of "America Last" Policy

The Pillage of America

"America is the world's bread basket". "America is the richest country". "America is the world's sole superpower." Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I know that we have all heard these and other accolades. But, wait, let look closer under this nation's skirt. Since 2005 America has been a net food importer. The US government has a $5.8 billion deficit with Canada, its biggest trading partner, $6.4 billion with Mexico, $9.2 billion with the European Union, a $6.3 billion imbalance with Japan, and a maddening $233 billion bill with Communist China, the largest imbalance ever recorded with a single country. Does this look like ingredients of a "superpower"?

Due to two consecutive US Administration's, democratic and republican, deliberate pursuit of severly disadvantagous trade treaties/aggreements America has been degenerated to a status of world's prostetute. The US government is entering into agreements that give satisfaction to only to the other party and having to sureender America's most charished possessions just to eat and satisfy obligations. Since the establishment of the North America Free Trade Agreement [NAFTA], then the Central American Free Trade Agreement [CAFTA], and subsequent bilateral trade treaty/agreements with countries that us to have come to us with hat in hand hoping to be granted our favor, who us to have trade deficits with us, now have us going to them on bended knee and k-y jelly. It has not been that long ago when the US government had a surplus on it's principle debt, the federal government just had to raise it's debt ceiling to over $9 Trillion, to put it as Treasury Secretary Paulson said, "to preserve the "full faith and credit" of the United States". Imagine if you and I had a Black American Express Credit Cards maxed out and having to request an increase the amount to borrow. The Bush Administration has dined on debt expansions, this will be the fifth. The last increased was last March. The Bush Administration, with the Congress' blessings, has increased the federal debt by $3 Trillion.

Prior to 2006 the US government allowed more legal immigrants in then illegal. Thanks to the current Administration's blatant unwillingness to execute it's Constitutional obligation to enforce the nation's immigration laws, American towns and cities are being overran by illegal immigrant, particularly from Mexico, and has placed critical stress on their social fabric and economies. Many American cities are being turned into Spanish enclaves with the predominate language being Spanish. Prior to the US government's allowing Communist China's entry into the World Trade Organization [WTO], the US had a trade surplus with China, that was advertised as a means to better control China and bring them in line with US political desires. Today, we are very hard pressed to find anything that is not made in Communist China. From anything from toys to electronics and clothing and soon to be cars will be dominated by China. The US government even imports nearly 80% of seafood from Communist China. Tell me if that makes any sense. The Bush Administration has purposely sought a America Last policy that has made "Made in the USA" virtually extinct. America, since President George W. Bush took office in January 2001, has lost 2.8 million manufacturing jobs, American manufacturing employment fell to14.3 million in March 2004, its lowest level in 54 years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Manufacturing jobs has declined since its peak of 40 percent just after World War II to 27 percent in 1981 and now stands at about 12 percent. The engineering industry has lost 221,000 jobs in six major job classifications according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. As evidence to America's growing impoverish position, foreigners have acquired $3.6 trillion of US assets since 1990 as a result of US trade deficits. This is money that may have once gone to Americans and or US corporations for things like research and development or reinvestments.

Today, it has become too acceptable that Americans can not compete with the world, but can best consume from it. Everyone speaks for Americans to consume and spend more and more, never to save or produce. Products, innovations, and industrial know-how and technology that we use to export to other nations for our financial benefit are now being imported to our indebtedness. America, via the US government's leadership, is no longer a manufacturing or producing nation, but a service and consumption nation. There is little to no way that the United States can sustain the charade of economic superpower for much longer when nation banks are investing less and less into the Dollar while Americans are having to purchase more and more products that are bought with greatly devalued US currency. Very soon the skirt of the United States will be lifted to expose a naked obese body of debt. Never before has this nation been at the crossroads of paying higher for goods due to our low wages or having to work for lower wages to afford the cheap imported goods. We have always been able to fend, clothe, and feed ourselves. This is not the America that I received.

America has the means of self-sustenance, but the policy makers of the US government do not seek that path. They only seem hell-bent to turn America into the world repository for their cheap labor and goods. When was the last time you heard from any politician, whether it be from the president or a congressman or senator, on a repetitive bases, boasted that America and Americans can and must do better, because it is something that we have always done and should continue to do so? Or anything close to that? Instead, we are feed a steady orchestrated course of the benefits of "the global economy", "globalization", and "free trade" that always ends with America given up everything and receiving mangoes. We no longer hear anything of what is good for the American economy or America. Over the past nearly 16 years this great nation has been lead down a road of self-destruction, not due to any foreign army or some external power directly, but from within. We have only ourselves to blame. From everything from the policy leaders that we elect to the lackadaisical attitude that we apply to matters of relevance, we have the government that we deserve. It's up to us to make the change from accepting mediocrity in ourselves and our choice of political leaders or else we as a nation will be treated as mediocre or worst.

We all feel that there is something seriously wrong we the environment that we find ourselves today. We tend to focus too much on the effects of something and nothing on what the true cause is. When we hear economist and investing marketers speak of investments and great future return on investments in nearly every other country other than America or the United States, we don't ask why. Why is it happening? We see things in a overly centralistic point of view, from a me out perspective. You say that, "I have a job" or "my job is safe", but do not see, or care, what is happening at the jobs of others leaving the country and or having their wages slashed and or what affects that may have on you. You say hiring a illegal immigrant to save a few bucks can't hurt. But, you don't think of the effects of your action being multiplied 10 times and more could have on the area's economy. We tend to see events in a vacuum. We forget that every action has a reaction. So, for those who thought that giving millions of people $100 thousand dollar homes who barely had a penny to their name or none of the money at risk was a good idea totally ignores the reaction to the illogical action. To think that this nation can maintain our freedom and posterity without owning the means of our own production defames the lessons of history. Henry Kissinger once said, "Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world." And Johann Wolfgang stated, "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe that they are free."

The next time that you hear of the negative effects of the US government allowing massive unchecked Communist Chinese imports, you may want to ask yourself if the fact that China holds the second largest issuer of credit to the US government, via purchasing US Bonds, could have anything to do with it? When you see the mass influx of illegal immigrants given unprecedented privileges and the irrational drive for open borders and the creation of the North American Union, that would join the US, Mexico, and Canada into I super State, and Texas-Trans Corridor, that will create a highway that will stretch from the tip of Mexico through Canada with portions of the highway in America actually under the control of Mexico and Communist China, without the voice of the people being respected, you may want to ask does the fact that we are over exposed do the fact that we have a trade deficit and they are the twelfth and second largest holders of US Bonds? When the US government sends America's sons and daughters to die in foreign lands that seemingly pose no direct threat to America, question if the US isn't satisfying some debited obligation?

We are becoming peasants on the land that many have given much to make free. Americans need to regain our love to be Americans. We need to regain the sense of the great fortune that we have living in America and that we are and shall always be unique and anyone who seeks to disrespect us and or nation shall not be considered our friend. What is happening today could not occur so blatantly under such leaders who exhibited such strong Americanism, such as Teddy Roosevelt and John Kennedy, nor with a conscious American people who felt enduring pride of what a special distinction it is to be called an America. We would not be such in a haste to surrender our birth right of freedom.

"Until the people of America shall have lost all virtue: Until they shall have become totally insensible to the difference between freedom and slavery: Until they shall have been reduced to such poverty of spirit as to be willing to sell that pre-eminent blessing, the birthright of a freeman, for a mess of pottage: In short, until they have been fund incapable of governing themselves and ripe for a master." George Washington Inaugural Speech 1789

You should completely understand what you are talking about before you write editorials of this nature. America is not in "debt" the way average people are when they owe people money that they cannot pay or even the way the average person is when he or she has used a credit card and must now pay that money back. America is in debt because treasury bonds were sold to foreign entities. This is more akin to how a company is "in debt" to its investors; just like a corporation, America sells bonds, and countries are able to buy them, therefore "investing" in America. Nothing like credit card debt. Remember, money standing still does not do anything, money invested in places is what powers economies. Most countries are also indebted to the US, as we buy bonds from most of the world.

Additionally, make sure that you don't use incorrect facts in your examples. You cannot "max out" an Americna Express Black Card, thus the point of the card itself, it is the only credit card in the US
