The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Cheat Sheet for PC

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is looking to be one of the greatest games of all time. As great as it is, however, there are times when we as players just want to cheat - maybe it's to show that uppity guard who's really boss, or to break into that ultra-hard nobleman's chest; whatever the reason, this quick cheat sheet should help immensely.

How to Cheat in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PC:

While playing, drop the console by pushing the tilde (~) key, at the top left of the keyboard. If that doesn't work, check to make sure the line "bAllowConsole" in your Oblivion.ini file is set to 1, which it should be by default . Once the console comes up, the game will pause and you'll see a white cursor in the bottom left of the screen; type in the following codes. When there is obviously a target needed (lock, unlock, kill), click on whatever it is you wish to affect.

help - List available console commands
tgm - Toggle God Mod (Invulnerability) - useful for taking down that guard who looked at you wrong - or, the entire Imperial guard force.
tcl - Toggle Clipping - extremely useful when you get to the end of a dungeon and don't want to trek all the way back to the exit - just use TCL and walk through walls! NOTE: Make sure you turn clipping back ON before you use a door!
lock - Lock highlighted object (a door or container) with integer lock-level
unlock - Unlock highlighted object - very useful when you run out of lockpicks!
kill - Kills highlighted entity (kills self if no target is selected)
modpcs [skill] [integer] - Add integer points to skillname skill -
modpca [attribute] [integer] - Add integer points to attribname attribute
ToggleCombatAI (or tcai) - Toggles all Combat AI - useful if you want to run around whacking things with your sword!
