The Ellen DeGeneres Show Featuring Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks

As a fan of both Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks, formerly of Fleetwood Mac, I was excited to hear on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that they would be appearing together in their 2011 Heart and Soul Tour. Thus far, it looks like I will have to travel to Phoenix to watch the concert, though more concerts are being confirmed at this time.

Rod Steward is releasing "The Best of...The Great American Song Book," on February 1, 2011. This is the fifth album in his Great American Song Book Series. You can pre-order the album now through Amazon.

Stevie Nicks is also releasing a new solo album in May 2011. The album, entitled "In Your Dreams." The new Stevie Nicks album is also available for pre-order and when you do, you will receive a free download of her single, "Secret Love."

They both appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show to promote their new albums and their joint concert tour. Rod Stewart has a clip from the show posted on his website, in case you missed it. During the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Stevie Nicks mentioned that one of her favorite songs by Rod Stewarts is "Maggie May" which is also one of my favorite singles by Rod Stewart. There is just something about that song that is really special and I hope he performs it while in Phoenix at the concert.

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks hinted that they may be rehearsing a duet or two to perform together on stage. If they do that, there could be some really good hits coming out that have not been recorded yet. I am hoping they will release a concert CD for posterity and for those fans that cannot make it to one of the concerts. Thus far, there are only a few scheduled dates. Hopefully, more concerts in their 2011 Heart and Soul Tour added as time goes on.

Tickets for Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks 2011 Heart and Soul Tour go on sale in January 21, 2011. According to Rod Stewart's website, "American Express Card members will have an opportunity to purchase tickets in advance of the public on-sale date beginning Monday, January 17 by visiting ticketmaster.com; for the Philadelphia concert by visiting comcasttix.com; and for the Montreal concert by visiting evenko.ca."

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks are already members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This Heart and Soul concert, as announced on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, has the making to be the concert event of the year as two legends combine their talents this spring, 2011.

You know you made it as a talk show host when legends such as Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart use your show to announce their new concert tour. The Ellen DeGeneres Show has come a long ways since it started out. It could very well be that when Oprah Winfrey retires from her show to move to her OWN network, that Ellen DeGeneres will reign as the top of the daytime talk show. The Ellen DeGeneres show will be the day time talk show that has a little fun and includes living legends making big announcements just as Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks did.
