The End of Hibernation

Abby Normal
Spring has sprung

and I want to play

wake up mom

and get out of the way

I want out of this cave

It has been such a bore

for the past few months

I have heard you two snore

The sun is so warm and

the flowers are in bloom

Honey must be nearby

I smell its sweet perfume

Come on Mom

let's follow that bee

He'll take us to our breakfast

in one of these trees

Now son you know that

we cannot just leave

That's one of your fathers

biggest pet peeves

We go as a family

or we don't go at all

That is a lesson you learned

when you were very small

My tummy can't wait

I need to eat

Off scampered the bear

on all four feet

I'll prove to my family

that I can provide

I'll climb the tree

and retrieve that bee hive

Before the young bear

could complete his task

His father appeared

and this question he asked

I know it is me

that you are trying to impress

Don't you think two of us

would have greater success

Together the bears

retrieved the hive from the tree

Making the bears

an even closer family
