The Evening Rose

Tyler S.
Dark and blue Twilight looms,

Battling on till daybreak come

The evening rose sits silent and still,

Hidden upon the mountain top

To wilt at the first of days rays

Only to sprout again at dusk

Forever and eternal

Until its serenity comes
-

Dawn brings new hurt and strife

Heavy winds till daylight falls

Only dusk twill bring the rose to life

Rushing to tranquilities call

The Rose dreams of life so blissful

Strengthened against days hardships all

Joyous, powerful, filled with light

The rose blooms against days full blight
