The Evil Corporations Are Dying: Happy Now America?

Congratulations on an Effective Smear Campaign Par Excellence!

Donald Pennington
Congratulations are due to my anti-business/anti-corporation friends all around America. Your illogical policies, impossible demands, ridiculously misguided demonstrations and dishonest smear campaigns against "evil" profit-oriented businesses in the United States is finally taking effect. Kruschev said he would bury us "and not a shot would be fired," and oh my goodness, he was right!

So, I can no longer call every smug moron leader of the surprisingly politicized "environmental" movement a smug moron. You are victorious. The attack on freedom which began with the "Endangered Species Act" in 1973, and signed by Nixon (Shoulda been our first hint right there.) has succeeded in hampering business development and personal property rights, and it did it all without one single success story, too. Impressive!

The evil corporations are dying: Happy now America? The propaganda worked.
Every anti-business "special interest" that has ever paid for a bias in movies, television shows, and newspapers, can now let go of the knife in Lady Liberty's back, and give yourselves a pat on your own. But every victory has a price, and since many of you live in the same country as those you hate, you're going down with us. It's easy to decry business as evil. It's easy to decry scientific research as evil. How easy will it be to live without those things which both business and science has brought you?

The evil corporations are dying: Happy now America? What about jobs?
Those "evil corporations?" Not only are they the giants which everyone knows about, but half or more, are small-to-mid-sized businesses. That includes the smaller retail chains, as well as the "Mom & Pop" types of companies. Now that so many are being forced into conditions that make profit extremely difficult (translation: non-survivable), they're not going to be hiring, advertising, or buying inventory and stock. Way to go on letting others do your thinking for you.

The evil corporations are dying: Happy now America? Like your car?
I hope you do, because that jalopy might just be the only one you drive again for a while. Some folks might still be able to buy new ones on a whim, but I'll wager that those folks don't often work in the nearly-dead private sector. Anyone from Detroit will tell you the effects of slaughtering the auto industry. Ask them. Detroit is just the beginning.

The evil corporations are dying: Happy now America? Hey! Nice clothes!
You might want to take good care of them. Clothing manufacturers are evil corporations, too. All business and industry are inter-connected. What hurts one industry, eventually affects all of them. That means, at the very least, your prices will go up sharply, like they have recently. At least you won't have to worry about being a hypocrite by shopping, anymore.

Thanks for explaining that you're as confused about "morality" as most other television viewers in America today. Why not log in before commenting? Have a nice day.

To equate corporations with individual liberty requires a stretch of the imagination that I'm simply not capable of. This article is filled with an incredible amount of misguided anger. You really want to get mad at the people responsible for closing all those Mom and Pops? Get mad at the gigantic corporations who write the rules that put them out of business, not the ones protesting those immoral behemoths for being the greedy monsters they are.
