The Evolution of Robin Thicke: An Artist with a Style that Comes from a Family of Talent

What would think if I told you that growing pains would produce a great R & B artist? Would you have ever guess Alan Thicke would father a well accepted R & B artist? I wouldn't have ever guessed, but it's true. Alan Thicke is Robin Thicke's father. This gets lost in the mix for me because I really love his sons work. His wife is in Déjà vu and has had other acting rolls as her career progresses. Robin Thicke has produced a sleeper hit album. I noticed three things that made me realize what a Hit Robin Thicke "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" had become.

Robin Thicke's Album is hard to find

I'm one whom doesn't like to buy too many CD's. I love music, but I like mostly old school music. Every now and again there is a new artist that I buy. Recently as I reviewed albums, I decided to look for Robin Thicke's album. I looked in Target. I was told it was sold out. I searched in Best Buy and was told they had no more. I check Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Borders, and Barns & Noble. None of the store had the album. I did my search over a few weeks checking back at the stores. It got to the point that I thought the album had not been release. But sure enough it was released and just flying off of shelves. It got to the point where I had to go to Amazon to buy the album. I was shocked, but I finally got it.

Robin Thicke's Album is eclectic

Robin has on his album everything from salsa music to R & B pop. He has songs that are popular rap hits with Pharel and a sleeper rap hit with Lil Wayne. Faith Evans makes an appearance on the album in an exception song also. This album is packed with good music. The song that most people have fallen for is lost without you. The entire album is worth a listen, but lost without you is why I wanted the album. Robin's "Lost without You" is song writing at its best. My son is a fan of Lil Wayne's shooters. I loved the "Wanna Love You Girl" song. As I listen to the album, I noticed that his influences show a background of someone exposed to many cultures at a young age. The progression of the album speaks to the true evolution of Robin Thicke.

Robin Thicke's "Lost Without You"

Just reiterate, the reason I bought the album is because of the "Lost without you" song. I liked this song the first time I hear is sometime in the summer of 06. It wasn't played enough for me so I went out and bought it. Low and behold in 2007, Robin Thicke's "Lost without you" would get more spin than Justin Timberlake's "My Love". I know in my local area. I've search the stations in instances where Robin's Lost without you" was playing on different stations at the exact same time. I was shocked and found it quite confusing.

Once while working on a friends network, I noticed his employee playing the song. She played it literally 20 times straight. I didn't mind because I liked the song also. As I've checked to do a quick tally of women whom liked the song. Out of a sample survey of 50 local women, all loved the son 1 had the album. 20 Downloaded the album and listened to it daily. I don't know what that says about record sales but Robin's popularity is certainly up.

The "Evolution of Robin Thicke" CD is worth the purchase. When and were you find it you will be lucky. Getting it over the web will be easy. Go to EBay or Amazon to get your copy. Enjoy the sounds of Alan Thicke's sultry soulful son.
