The Highlighter. The highlighter is sort of a large, soft crayon with a pearly glow to it. It is very soft and subtle, which is good because no one really wants to look like they have raccoon eyes. It applies easily, and you don't have to worry about being too perfect with it. Use the highlighter first, from the crease to the brow bone if you like. This will help brighten the eye area, and draw attention to your beautiful eyes.
The Eye Shadow. I like the eye-dea of an eye shadow in a tube. The applicator sort of looks like a lip gloss applicator, and it glides on well. Be very careful not to apply over the same place twice or you will remove the make up that you already applied. It doesn't smudge well, either, so make sure you put on a nice, even application from the get go. My only disappointment was that the color, which was supposed to be metallic silver, just looked a bit well, blue against my skin. But this is not unusual for my skin tone. It may take a little practice to get the eyeshadow to go on smoothly, but after that, it will be a piece of cake.
The Eyeliner. Lastly, apply the eyeliner. The eyeliner is a simple to use, mechanical pencil, which I love. The consistency is creamy, almost like a gel, making the application quick and easy. If Wanderlove sold individual eyeliners just like this, I would buy them. All. Because I'm not sure how much actual eyeliner is included in this set, but it can't be too much because the pencil is small so that it will fit in the wand. The color only comes in black for the Eye Wand liner and it is pretty smudge-proof and water resistant, for sure.
The three pieces of the Eye Wand fit together nicely in a sleek wand, a little big bigger than a nice ball point pen. It comes in four colors: bronze, champagne, moss, and smoke. The price isn't cheap, coming in at around seventeen dollars, but its well worth it considering it comes with three eye products in one easy to use package. You can purchase the Eye Wand at www.wanderlove.com.
