The Face: 2007

I really like this woman's work. Her clothing compliments her colouring. She has flawless skin and perfect hair but her broadcasting skills are what impress me most. Her voice is well modulated, her diction is clear and concise and she has a very good demeanor. Her tone and expression almost always mirror the story she is delivering at the moment. This is difficult for newscasters because the news during one half hour can swing from the tragic to the kooky to the most urgent information that may save a life that day, through health warnings and product recalls for example. Yesterday, at 4p.m., I especially noticed her spot on delivery. It can be disconcerting for the casual listener when an anchor trips over his or her words. Sometimes, people are multitasking: working and watching, listening and cooking etc. I hope that she continues to enjoy working in this area. She has a youthful appearance but also seems very authoritative. This is the crucial thing some "pretty women" reporters lack and it is keeping them out of the anchor chair. Anyway, best of luck to her and NBC10, in the New Year.
