The face of Jesus Christ from Christian and Catholic religions has been seen in many different places around the world. The apparent image of Jesus has been found on tombstones, clouds, toast and walls, he has even been seen on footpaths and in the famous cloth of the Turin Shroud.
You will have seen Jesus in many books and religious literature and lovingly shown off in stained glass windows of churches, but how about a cosmic appearance for the Son of God?
Our keen astrology guy at The Portland Journal was sipping his morning coffee having a glance through countless images of the red planet Mars. Our reporter nearly fell off his chair when he stumbled upon an apparent image of Jesus Christ on the surface of Mars staring back at him.
"It was just one of those moments of shock when I saw it" he said. "He kind of just jumped out at me in one of his almost miraculous appearances that you always hear about."
Have a look at the image for yourself by clicking on the small image above this article. We have circled the image of Jesus just in case he does not at first glance jump out at you. You may also see a higher resolution larger image here.

Jesus is said to have died on the cross for the sins of mankind, but he has been making miraculous appearances ever since his death and eventual ascension into Heaven. He has appeared on the Turin Shroud in one of the more famous incarnations, leading many to believe that the shroud is the actual cloth Jesus Christ had been wrapped in after his crucifixion said to have happened over 2000 years ago.
It is not hard to believe that this latest appearance of Jesus' face on Mars is real, however there are those who will remain skeptical or will sit on the fence with their opinions. Still it is a great headline and we thank Jesus for the opportunity to be graced in his presence in a cosmic sense, if it is indeed him.
