Today I made some orange marmalade
And put it on a slice of buttered toast.
I ate while daughter's hair I tried to braid -
About her hair today she will not boast.
And put it on a slice of buttered toast.
I ate while daughter's hair I tried to braid -
About her hair today she will not boast.
I made some coffee hot and black, no cream,
And helped my youngest with his math homework.
My hope that he'd be pleased was just a dream;
His teacher (and his mom) went quite berserk.
My oldest daughter's date I chaperoned.
He didn't like my jokes. He's not the one!
My oldest son says I should be dethroned
Because I pegged him with a staple gun.
At least my wife will smile at me today.
Ouch! Biff! Bam! Bop! It seems she's joined the fray!

I liked your sonnet very much. You remind me of someone my son went to school with. Keep up the good work.
