To teach them good values, and Christian ways
He wants us to teach them wrong from right
Our children are all, so precious in his sight
So many are raised without God in their home
With parents working late, kids are left on their own
Too many parents now, value material things
Which sometimes leaves their children, wondering...
If this is the way "Families" are supposed to be
Each member separate, with their own latch key
And dinner together, is a thing of the past
Each of us moving in different directions so fast
We're just not taking time, to relate to each other
Families need some time just to be with one another
To talk about the highs and lows of their day
We find out what's going on, with our children that way
Our love shows, when there's mutual communication
Creating trust and respect in Parent and child relations
Our children learn God's ways, when they see
The Christian ways, in you and me
And one day when they have, children of their own
From example... they will raise them in a Christian home.

As I tell my daughter, children are like sponges. They soak up words, actions, moods, and "vibes". All change who they are. Scary, huh?
What a very beautiful poem, so well put and so true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is very true. We have several little ones in our lives to care for, because their parents are somewhat inattentive (and it is not always their fault; work, etc.). This is a great poem.
Very true...beautiful poem, my sister.
