In 1962, she made her first appearance on Broadway as the daughter of Thomas Moore in A Man for All Season. Faye Dunaway's first screen role was in 1967 in Hurry Sundown. In that same year, she was offered the leading role in Bonnie and Clyde opposite of Warren Beatty. This role garnered her an Oscar Nomination. In the 1970's, she played in many different film roles and won her Oscar for the film Network. In this film, she played an almost inhumanly cold blooded television executive and did an outstanding job. In the 1980's, she still had roles but she blamed her leading role in the movie Mommie Dearest for ruining her career. She was has been quoted saying, "I was too good at Crawford."
Faye Dunaway has been romantically involved with different men ranging from comedians to lead singers of rock groups. Her second husband was Terry O'Neil, a British photographer and they had one child together. In 2003, Terry O'Neil disclosed that his son with Dunaway was adopted and not their biological child, however, Dunaway claims the opposite. Faye Dunaway has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard.
