The Fastest Way to Your 15 Minutes of Fame: Question Senator Obama

Senator Obama, when will you tell the media to back off the guy? Joe the Plumber is being dragged through the mud, personal history delved into, called a liar, and why? It's all because you, Senator Obama, chose to give an answer to a question and people aren't really thrilled about it.

Did you believe the average citizen would be all aboard your "spread the wealth around" "it's good for everybody" remarks to Joe? I'm pretty sure the press did a collective gasp because they had to figure out how to make it go away. Maybe he caught you off guard. Whatever it was, the media is pissed off you were caught saying what you really think and now to prevent them from having to ask what you really meant, they are attacking Joe from all sides.

So far we've heard these damning things about Joe:

1. His given name isn't really Joe, it's Samuel.

Joe is his middle name, he prefers it. A lot of people do that, it's awful I know.

2. Joe isn't a licensed plumber.

Did he say he was? He called himself a plumber so I guess technically he isn't

because he works for a plumber. Wow, they got him there.

3. Joe doesn't own a $250,000 business.

True. Of course the MSM (mainstream media) and a lot of bloggers don't exactly listen either. Joe said

he was thinking about buying one. It's called a hypothetical situation. Look it up.

4. Joe owes back income taxes.

Well actually, seems like (only from what I have read) he owes back property taxes.

Would you like to point out that so does Obama's campaign treasurer?

No? I didn't think so.

5. A particular favorite terrible thing. They looked into Joe's divorce records and found that, OMG,

Joe is....divorced.

Oooooh. What does his personal life have to do with this?

6. Joe hasn't been a lifelong Ohio resident.

So? This is relevant to what?

7. Speculation:He must be a McCain plant or a right wing nut.

Ok, so from what I understand Obama goes door to door through a

neighborhood, finds Joe in his front yard playing with his kid, talks to him and Joe

asks a question. I suppose McCain must have ran ahead of Obama, bought a house, put

Joe and his son in the yard with a football. That's it. It's McCain's fault Obama answered that way.

There's other stuff but enough is enough. Unless Joe is a skilled hypnotist he didn't make Obama say what he said. Spread the wealth around, just what all of us want to hear. Will Capitalism be dead in an Obama Presidency? How about Freedom of Speech? What does it really matter what Joe does, is , or owns? He was given an opportunity to ask a simple question of Barack Obama and Senator Obama chose to give an answer. It is as simple as that. How does Joe's background change the answer given?

Be careful before you question Senator Obama because you too might have your life story spilled all over the national media. Is this what we really have to look forward to if Obama becomes President?

Senator Obama, instead of you and your running mate also attacking the plumber, maybe you should ask the media to leave him alone. All he did was ask you a question. You expressed your own right to free speech by giving the answer you did.

It's not Joe's fault. He was just reminding you of the American Dream.
