The Fate of the Nation - Presidential Election of 2008

Shellie
President George Bush is a good man, a lot of people gave up on him and elected a Democratic Congress, majority in the House, and Senate. You, the people, turned your backs on President Bush's leadership and surrendered the leadership of this great country over to a bunch of greedy, egotistical people. You, in effect gave a major division of the President's job to the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D) (CA) and her favorite five. No matter what is proposed by the President, if Nancy Pelosi doesn't want it passed, it won't be.

Stop now and think what the outcome of this upcoming presidential election will be if you the people, are so blinded by the glitz, glam, and empty promises that will not in any way shape or form be fulfilled if a Democratic candidate is elected for presidency. With the current plans on the Democratic ticket, our country will in fact become a socialist state. In turn our government will begin telling us what we can and cannot do. Congress along with the Presidency will have the ability to appoint whom so ever they decide to choose for the upcoming Supreme Court. Which will then cause the entire government to become extremely liberal having no checks and balances as prescribed by the Constitution of the United States of America.

The title "President" could then become King, Dictator, or any other name for "supreme ruler" that can be thought of. This is exactly what George Washington and our founding fathers warned against. As for me, I shall be led, not ruled!

So, stop and think real hard about your vote and vote to keep the checks and balances of our government. Being just one voice, I have to depend on others to help get the message out. I would like to remind the people of the United States of America that the President is our leader not our ruler. Regardless of what you think of one man, or the next, NO leader can accomplish anything nor impose his will or decisions upon free people. If the people are not willing to follow within the guidelines that are set forth under the common laws of the land and the Constitution, with input from their Senators and Representatives; it does not matter what the President wants or does, it will not happen.

I hear all the time what a bad leader President Bush is, have you stopped to consider how things might have been in World War II if everyone up to and including the generals and troops had decided they didn't like what Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill needed them to do. I am quite confident that there were some of those who didn't approve their policy for the war but the fate of the nation was hanging in the balance. Well, friends once again the fate of our great nation is hanging in the balance with your choice in the upcoming election.

It doesn't matter if you're black, white, or even Hispanic, if all of the government shifts to one side, we as people of a free nation will change to "You people do what we say". The media has been corrupted and paid, so, now fellow Americans it is up to you. Don't let it happen to our children and grandchildren, once it does it will not be reversible. Please I ask you as a fellow American don't sell our country because of a little hard time. Now is the time to join together as a free nation and climb over the hill.

This was written for American Patriots by an American Patriot.

Being an American Patriot I stand behind Senator John McCain as the candidate for the 2008 Presidential Election.

President Bush is a good man, but his presidency has been devastating for the US. Justice Department, EPA, Treasury - all asleep at the wheel or incompetent due to the injection of political cronies into their upper echelons instead of qualified personnel. Diplomacy, well, we look like a country with no concept of diplomacy any more. He had a Republican controlled Congress for six of his eight years, and he has vetoed more legislation than any previous president (especially during the last two years with a Democrat controled Congress). He has not respected the balance of powers - so I wouldn't honestly blame either Republicans or Democrats who controlled Congress - without overrides they were at his mercy. His has been an imperial presidency. At the end of the day, as good a person as he is, he has to take responsibility for the lapses and their consequences.
