On Friday, April 23, 2010 at 6:00 PM the event will officially kick off with the Bloom and Boom party. This 27th Annual Dogwood Festival will have a fireworks finale on Friday. All you can ride wristbands can be purchased on Friday to participate in the Midway Rides and Games. Get a discount if you can provide a Taco Bell receipt.
Concerts will be held on the Bud Light Stage in Festival Park and the Rock Shop Stage on Hay Street. These concerts are free and open to the public.
On Sunday, April 25, 2010, the LaFayette Ford Classic Car Show will occur. Antique cars, trucks and restored vehicles will line up for the public.
For Kids
The Dogwood Festival is a family-friendly event. As such, the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival has many events for children. This year's major event for kids is a two by two zoo and toddler zone. Partnership's KidStuff will have face painting, a Rock-A-Bye tent for nursing mothers and interactive games for children.
Rules
During the Fayetteville Dogwood event, there are several rules that should be observed. No coolers are allowed. No pets are allowed except for service animals at the Dogwood Festival. You should not bring bikes, rollerblades or skateboards and there are no weapons allowed.
Parking & Shuttle
Parking for the Fayetteville, NC Dogwood Festival is free in city lots on Person and Hay Streets. $5.00 parking is available in the Systel parking lot at 225 Green Street.
Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Center will offer free off-site shuttle service on Lamon Street. Shuttle service is free and will be available approximately every 15 minutes to take event goers to the Festival Footprint. Hours of operation are Saturday, 3-11 PM and Sunday, 1-6 PM.

Entertainment
The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival will hold fireworks and concerts at the Bud Light Stage and the Rock Shop Stage.
