The Fillers Begin as HoH & Nominations Revealed on BB11

Reality Rehash
Tonight was one of those half filler/half strategy talk episodes of Big Brother and its right on schedule as it happens around this time every season. With less and less houseguests in the house, there is always less to do and talk about so we get to see some "filler" which is random clips of the houseguests or showcases of certain ones. The show opened up with Lydia elimination and the reactions that followed. Jordan was glad that Lydia was out of the game, since she thought she was crazy. While Kevin was upset, for obvious reasons, but held it together. He knows how to play and I think with Lydia gone, Kevin will have a much better shot at winning the whole thing.

It was then time for the HoH competition which began on Thursday's episode and finished up here. The challenge was to drop cans into two plastic tubes, the first person to get 24 cans into the tubes would win HoH. Kevin was in an early lead with Russell following behind. The girls were out of it for mostly the entire competition but Natalie picked it up towards the end. Half way through the "golden cans" were introduced. If a player got a golden can into one of the tubes, they could block the tubes of another player for 60 seconds. Russell was the first to use a golden can and blocked Kevin's tubes first. Kevin was in a lead and only needed a few more. Thanks to the blockage, Jeff was able to catch up to both and took the 2nd place spot.

Kevin was then ready to seek some revenge and scored a golden tube to block Jeff. Since Russell was bothering Jeff with his running, Jeff was able to concentrate and actually caught up and tied it with Kevin. Both needed one more can to win but in the end Jeff took home the HoH, keeping the power on his side. That didn't stop Kevin and Natalie from playing the game though. They realized that they would be going up on the block and decided to make a final four with Jordan and Jeff. We didn't see it until later in the show, but Jordan and Jeff seemed to buy the idea and actually felt more comfortable with those two then they did with Russell and Michele. It's going to be an interesting week as both pairs now feel they are aligned with Jordan/Jeff, it's up to them now to decide which pair they want to take with them to the final four.

Before we get to the Russell/Michele/Jeff/Jordan possible split, let's just get the filler out of the way. There was a small segment about Jeff/Jordan and how she wants him to take her on the Hawaii vacation. It was a more "cute" segment but ended from probably the best Diary Room from Jordan we've seen. She's great in the DR and I'm sure the show wouldn't be as good if we didn't have her commentary. There was also a segment about Jeff and taking care of their garden. Both Jordan and Kevin drooled over Jeff's ability to water the plants without a shirt and the two best DR people of the summer were showcased yet again, thank you Kevin and Jordan for your witty and somewhat naive comments!

There were two more "fillers" tonight, one with Michele and one with Natalie. Natalie still has people believing that she is 18 years old. While playing poker with Russell and Jeff, she told Russell that she has played poker for money and could beat him any day. He got upset about that, since he just beat her but apparently it's because they weren't playing for real money. I'm not sure why people haven't realized that Natalie is lying.... considering you have to be 21 to even enter a casino. Yet she plays pokers in Vegas? Um.... yeah. Then we have Michele who has lied about her real job and having a PHD. She and Jeff discussed her job and how she has to work 7 days a week and is basically in a basement bunker. Jeff was amazed at the stuff Michele was discussing but it was fun to see at least as we hardly get a glimpse at the real Michele on the show.

Now back to the alliance implosion. The discussion in the backyard actually happened last Wednesday I believe, before Lydia was even evicted. Jordan and Jeff were told by Kevin that Russell wanted Jeff out, it was the truth but they never actually heard it. The four confronted each other, started by Jordan, and Russell got into it. He argued that he never wanted Jeff out of the game but realized that he couldn't beat him in the end. By saying that it assures Jeff that at least the thought came to Russell's mind to turn on the alliance, which put Michele along with Russell as well. She went up to the HoH room to talk to Jeff and wanted to assure that Russell wasn't going up. He told her that he wasn't, but that made him more suspicious of both of them and the tables were about to turn.

Before the nomination ceremony Jeff talked to Kevin and Natalie. He let the know that he does want Russell out, but the two must go up as pawns to ensure that Russell doesn't fight hard for the veto. It's a smart move as it allows everyone to be on Jeff's side, until after the veto of course, and leaves him open for any situation. The only problem is that Jordan really does want Russell out and of course when he finds out, things will not be pretty. In the end Jeff did place Natalie and Kevin on the nomination block, but like I said anything could happen as Jeff has set himself up for a possible crazy night come this Thursday.
