The Final Whisper

LarrWayne Po
While rambling fro and to,
What is the use
To write another tune?
What is a poem good for,
I ask myself and more?

Like the waves of a sea
They don't stop
Until they've rushed
Onto the shore.
The contemplations
Of the mind don't stop,
But what new is in store?

The waves may calm
To lessen a stir.
So what,
I've been there before.
Where is the plot,
That is yet to be seen,
Knocking at the door?

When you are out of tears
And out of lines,
Hushed is the rain
And hushed are the rhymes.
Like silent thunder
Off In the distance,
So is the quiet
After the final whisper.

What an unusual poem. It seems to me you captured a fleeting moment of the mind, that vanishes so quickly, it's easy to miss it, Yet is such a profound moment, after one has poured one's soul
into a creation, the quietness, the stillness. I think the last few lines are among the most eloquent I have ever read in a poem.

    Very thought provoking poem.
'What is a poem good for, I ask myself and more?'
A poem is good for getting us to think about the message you are giving!

I suspect you have many more poems to write before your final whisper! I enjoyed reading it!
