If you have never dined on Russian cuisine you are in for a fabulous journey. The food preparation and presentation as is awesome as the taste of the food. One of the dishes most people are familiar with is Chicken Kiev which the Firebird Restaurant prepares quite well, but don't stick with what you know - experiment and ask the waiter what is good or what is safe to order for a newbie. And of course everyone to a Russian restaurant want to try the vodka and black caviar for which Russia is famous. A few great choices from the dinner menu at the Firebird Restaurant include the Long Island Duck served with turmeric scented rice and baby gold beets; beef stroganoff prime filet served with herbed potato, veal au jus just, mushrooms and sour cream; pan roasted prime yellow fin tuna served with quinoa, lettuce and aioli to name a few.
Desserts in a Russian restaurant are a tempting as they are in others offering patrons a selection of delectable delights such as their famous blintzes and pavlova, in addition to Bananas Foster, molten chocolate cake and the ultimate, the Romanov which is vanilla bean ice cream served with strawberries and Grand Mariner Reduction.
Overall a dining experience at the Firebird Restaurant is enjoyable but is also an excellent cultural experience. The food is excellent, the environment is wonderful and the staff is helpful and courteous.
