The First Passover Feast

TASALI PILA
The Gates of St. Peter opened
and the angels were unleashed upon the world of Man,
To smote the first born of Egypt.
It was a mission set by Jehovah their Lord
Who sought to humble princely Egypt before His Prophet ,
And to free His People from the bonds of slavery.
Down the paths of heaven they flew,
Like flaming arrows with deadly purpose,
That which cannot be led astray by man nor demons nor false wizardry of man.
To Egypt the Host of Heaven came, roaming the streets and alleys,
Surging through the homes of the High and Low.
From each house was snuffed
The precious candle of the heir, the light of that noble house.
Some houses the angels spared,
Passing Over to the noble neighbors closeby.
The house that was spared,
Having suffered neither hide nor hair,
Had followed the Prophets command--
To paint their doorframes with the precious blood of the Lamb.
Thus, by the hands of angels
The lives of Egypts first born were taken,
As retribution for proud Pharaoh
Who refused to bow before the Will of God.
