The First Thing to Do After Getting a Divorce; Post on Craigslist

A recent review of Craigslist reveals that divorce is a common theme of those who post on the classified ad website. When the Denver Craigslist was searched for the term, over 156 items were found listed in the For Sale category alone.

"Divorce Sale Cheap" screams the headline of a Denver ad. The ad itself was for a bed, a freezer and hot water tank that was promised to have never been installed.

Another headline on the Denver site, included one titled; "POOL TABLE - my divorce is your lucky day!"

Searching in the city of Atlanta on Craigslist with the search term, showed an eye popping 301 results including this; "Affordable DUI, Immigration from $899, Uncontested Divorce from $399".

In New York City, a search under the Community section of Craigslist returned 29 results including the following ad headline that actually asks a question; "Are you seperated or divorcing an alcoholic?" A link on the ad takes you to a website that appears to be part of a treatment center.

Like most cities, New York City had some unique postings under the Divorce Category including this; "Attention Ladies... A New and Exciting Party Idea..."

Evidently, some believe it's never too early to start getting over the heartbreak.

"Going to Jail" has also been a popular topic for ads on the site. "Going to Jail" was the title of a recent article posted on Associated Content.
