This is my fifth potty seat I bought to try out for my son. He is two and a half and I am hoping to have him fully potty trained by the summer time. I don't know how I am going to do this but I am definitely hoping this is the last potty seat I have to buy. So far, so good. At least he is acknowledging the potty know. He takes his new Cars potty seat and puts it on top of the toilet bowl. We talk about how much of a big boy he is going potty with his grown up potty seat.
Product
The colors are red and light blue. There is a car scene on the seat. There are highway signs and speed limit signs too. There is a back rest with McQueen on it. There are two red handles on either side of the seat. There is a red "pee" catch you attach on the front of the potty seat too. This potty seat can fit both an oval shape toilet and a round shape toilet.
Reality
Unfortunately, this potty seat is just like the others. It hasn't helped my son want to use the potty. We have mastered putting this potty seat on the toilet bowl but that's about all. After we put it on and I tried to put him on it, he wouldn't sit down and I had to take it off. He then wanted me to put a different potty seat on the toilet. We tried that one and he sat but didn't do any business. I guess my idea of a special potty seat didn't really work.
The seat is a little small for my son. I think he felt uncomfortable when he sat down on it. It looked to me as if the splash guard was in his way. I guess I could have taken it off but then wouldn't the "pee" splash all over? Also, the seat cushion itself didn't seem as comfortable and as thick as his other potty seat. This seat is only a couple of inches thick where as his other seat is about 4 inches thick and firmer.
I am not going to return this potty seat, I can always try to use it once he does become fully potty trained. It will help to have more than one potty seat in the house. It is small enough that we could travel to grandma and grandpa's with it. That is one benefit of the smaller size of this seat.
I am not quite so sure that I do recommend this potty seat. If you need a spare one, than sure. If it is your main one I would do a little more research first.
