They are open Monday - Saturday 8:00 to 6:00 and Sunday 8:00 to 5:00. They bake bread, cookies, and pastries fresh daily. Game areas are available with games for anyone to play, and a chess club meets here Monday nights. This café is also equipped with free wireless internet for anyone interested. The atmosphere is casual with a hint of upscale. An assortment of teas is available and the coffee is Starbucks. Lattes and cappuccinos are also available. The raisin bread toast is absolutely delicious! The tea sandwich platter with four mini crust-less sandwiches and the hummus dip served with freshly toasted pita are two of the specialties you might want to try.
2. The Coffee Connection: The Coffee Connection is located at 148 Water Street in Oswego. They serve hot and cold beverages, and an assortment of pastries. They also sell coffee accessories, gourmet teas, and other gift items. Their hours are Monday - Wednesday 9:00 to 7:00, Thursday 9:00 to 8:00, Friday and Saturday 9:00 to 9:00, and Sunday 12:00 to 5:00. The café is located in a beautiful old building right near the water. The décor is eclectic coffee themed and fun to look at. They have an assortment of coffee available from all over the world and plenty of specialty beverages. To go with your brew, they have homemade pastries, fudge, and candy. The sugar cookies and frosted brownies are delicious and classic accompaniments to a cup of your favorite coffee. Upstairs there is a game room with a combination of lounging areas with sofas and easy chairs, and traditional seating areas. The windows provide a beautiful view of the Oswego River.
3. The Canal Landing Coffee Shoppe: The Canal Landing Coffee Shoppe is located at 191 West First Street. The small café is right in the heart of Oswego. It is the perfect place to take a break for a cup of coffee in the middle of a busy day of work or pleasure.
4. Aunt Mary's Italian Café: This café is located at 193 West First Street in the Canal Commons. Lunch and dinner are served, but the focal point of this café is the homemade baked goods! There is traditional Italian cuisine plus the most wonderful homemade cookies. Stop in for a meatball sub for lunch and finish it off with a brownie sundae. Treat yourself to an after work cup of coffee and home made biscotti. Invite your friends out for afternoon tea and order a selection of wonderful Italian cookies! Whatever you choose, this café is a treat!
5. Camelot Bakery: Located at 197 West First Street, Camelot Bakery is not your traditional café, but it is still a wonderful place to get a cup of coffee. In addition to a full line of baked goods, they have wonderful homemade pizza with an assortment of crusts. Molasses cookies and old-fashioned Scottish Shortbread are wonderful accompaniments to coffee and be sure to take home a loaf of one of their specialty toasting breads. Flavors like Calamata Olive Garlic and Apple Mango Swirl are sure to tempt you.
