The Five Best Web Sites for Holiday E-Cards

Top Five E-Card Web Sites for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa

Sandra Essary
E-cards are a part of my life. During the holiday season, that couldn't be truer. Holiday e-cards are fun to send, cost nothing, save trees, and can be customized in many amazing ways. Plus, you can compose holiday e-cards at any time and specify exactly when you want them to be sent out. Following are my top five picks for holiday e-cards. I chose to list only the web sites that provide free holiday e-cards. Each of the following web sites will notify you when the recipient picks up the card. With the exception of Free E-Cards Online (which has no Kwanzaa cards as of today), all web sites have all four types of holiday e-cards.

1. 123greetings.com

This is a great site; I have used them many times and have been quite satisfied with their services. They have an excellent variety of holiday e-cards, including animated ones. Their holiday e-cards come with accompanying music.

2. Egreetings.com

EGreetings has lots of flash and animated cards to add more interest to your holiday e-card. I have used this site a lot also and have always had good experiences with them. You can choose the size and color of the font. You can also attach a photo to your holiday e-card.

E-Greetings is absolutely free, nothing to join. I've never had any problems with this web site. 123 Greetings and E-Greetings are my favorite holiday e-card sites.

3. Free-e-cards-online.com

You can customize your holiday e-card here by selecting colors for the font and background, as well as music to go along with it. Also, you can select a poem to accompany your holiday e-card, a heading, and add words of your own.

4. Care2.com

Here you can customize your holiday e-card by choosing the music, the stamp, and the background color. I love it when they give you options like that.

5. Evite.com

You have to register on this website, but it's free after that. Evite has a nice selection of holiday e-cards. They offer gifts as well.

Opening up an e-card someone has sent you really brightens up your day. The nice thing about using holiday e-cards is that you can stay in touch with a lot more people than you might be able to by sending out only regular mail cards.

Enjoy sending out your holiday e-cards this year!

Very helpful and you are so right - the holidays are fast approaching. I blinked and it was summer. I blinked again and it seemed Fall was already here - and winter is only a heartbeat away :)
