But what is it?
The Flat Belly Program is a weight loss program aimed at women. According to the program's web site users can either subscribe to an online program, or purchase a book. With the book you get the program outlined and detailed with a plan to follow. However, the real selling point to me is the web site membership.
Much like other online diet programs, the Flat Belly Program outlines meal plans for users and allows them to print off a shopping list. This takes all of the guesswork and calculations out of meal preparation, which can often be a stumbling block for people trying to stick to a diet.
The program also offers a forum section for users to interact with each other, build relationships, support networks and dieting partners to help motivate and encourage.
Online members can also use the online food tracker system. This portion of the web site acts like a food journal, online log, weigh in station and place to track daily nutritional information from user input. Offering an easy, ready to use system for tracking calories and macronutrients takes the calculations and confusing point conversions out of the daily weight loss efforts. It's no secret that in order to lose weight nutritional information and calorie tracking is key.
Another feature of the online program is an experts section where users can ask questions and get feedback from dietary and fitness experts on the web site. A lot of times people have questions about the vague exercise and dietary terms often used in the fitness world. This can lead to discouragement and confusion. But, being able to ask questions in an open forum or through email can alleviate most of the confusion and let users focus on their goals instead of their questions.
The program also offers an addition optional workout program to help speed up efforts. One of the big things that the program touts is the ability to lose weight and flatten your belly without having to do any crunches. However, being physically active can help speed weight loss and give users faster results. A lot of times people become easily discouraged by not seeing results quickly enough.
