The Florida School System: Needs to Divide Money Equally Among the Schools

Schools Need to Learn How to Divide Money Given to Each County so That Schools Are All at One Level Financially

The school system in Florida needs to distribute money equally. I attended William T. Dwyer High School in Jupiter Florida and I had the greatest opportunities at my finger tips. In the Academy of Finance I entered college with the ability to comprehend assignments easily because the classes and assignments that were being given at a college level I had already been exposed to in high school. I was able to be nominated as a Business Pathfinder and I traveled around with the Academy of Finance on field trips so I was exposed to other High Schools. When we went to other high schools I was able to see that we were very fortunate and that is something that I should not be able to say because schools need to have the same kinds of advancements as other schools do so that kids have equal amounts of opportunities. William T. Dwyer is an "A" school right now and it is well disserved, but why don't other schools have the same opportunities that I did? I do not think that it is fair to the kids and that is what school is for. School is for kids to learn and grow as individuals and they need teachers that love to teach them.

High school is a stepping stone for many but it will not be a great stepping stone if the school has no stepping stones to provide. Who is to blame for this, the school district, the counties or the education layout in Florida? Schools need books, new desks, better computers, good classrooms, and some might need uniforms. Uniforms might be a good thing for schools so that kids can stay focused on school, and not on who is wearing the most expensive and flashy items that usually show their wealth. These little things might not seem important but it all ties together. Kids get off of focus really easy and you could be surprised at the things that kids think about or how they get off focus. If kids have a good environment and classroom they will feel smart and important because all kids need is to feel important and intelligent. A pat on the back, good job, or just some special attention for the kid that needs a little more help is good. But these things will never happen if the school system doesn't get their act together and keep kids all at one level.

It is important that the school distributes wealth throughout the schools so that kids can feel important not that one school is better than the other because it's the "rich school", "poor school", or the "snobby school". This is the reason why parents are entering their kids into private schools so that they get the opportunity to get special attention, smaller classrooms, and better books. These are all the things that make public schools less appealing to others. It is all about the money and someone needs to be elected to make sure that this happens because the kids are our future and no one is trying to fix this mal-structured system.
