The Flu Has Captured Me

Jenny Heart
Since New Year's Day I've been sick

Became sick at my sister's dinner party

Oh my, oh my

The New Year started with a bang of the flu

Doing more than ka-choo, ka-choo

I did see a doctor too

Fever, earache, and sore throat

Are enough to get the toughest goat?

Up all hours of the night

Sure don't feel energetic enough

To fly a kite

Need lots of sleep

I beg my body

It's time to count sheep

I have to go to work early in the morning

Shhhhhhh

If I only could,

I sure would

Hope you are getting stronger. Couldn't comment on some of your work because the comment section would not come up BUT rest assured I read it.

I hope you're feeling better now, Jenny. It's so hard to be sick, especially when you have things to do - like write for A.C. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Oh Jenny, I do hope and pray you are better now. I sometimes get prompted to get out of bed when I can't sleep and fall on my face and pray for others....God bless ya friend.

Jenny, I have been sick since Halloween and now gonna write about it. Charlie is also very sick with bronchitis. Her hubby wrote me twice and last night they took her to the emergency room and if she does not get better will be hospitalized. I pray for you both!!! Love and warm hugs!!
