The Flying Dutchman or Ghost Ship on the Cape of Storms (aka Cape of Good Hope)

Brian Molnar
A cursed life yes I have lead;
my sails are filled with grief.
The light in my eyes not yet dead,
but dashed upon the reef.

The constellations guide no path,
still I strive to make port.
I round the cape time and time again,
but finish where I start.

A ship sails by, I run
down the deck; they pass by.
Ages of waiting I have done;
the years like tempests fly.

Oh why did I ever challenge the Lord
in my arrogance; God's judgement unfurled!
Sailing forever, the rain e'er to feel.
I'll ne'er succeed, yet my hand grips the wheel.
