The Formula for Success for Young Stars

First of all, Disney has to be the smartest marketers/star makers in the world (followed by Nickelodeon). All they have to do is grab a talentless kid (whether they show audience appeal or are related to someone famous) give them a motive and put them on T.V. to attract the most impressionable audience ever, pre-teens and teenagers.

Here is the formula for young stardom and overall mediocre and mindless entertainment.

First grab a cute kid, give that kid a show with weak writing and the creativity of a bored 10 year old, make sure that kid get loads amount of publicity, sponsor the kid's own franchise, and let that kid blow up again, only this time own their own.

Disney grabs these kids from on and off the Disney franchise. For example, Disney took The Cosby Show's Olivia Kendall, Raven-Symoné, and turned her into a Disney Icon. She started off as an actress in her own TV show, That's So Raven, after her work in Disney's ABC TV show, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. Then a Disney original movie called the Cheetah Girls. After that it seemed as though she blew up over night with her show, music, and franchises (clothes, scents, accessories, etc.). She was becoming a mogul. She is now producing her own shows and is greatly involved in any project she is in.

Other stars that had the same if not similar kind of success thanks to Disney were Hillary Duff (Lizzie McGuire), Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana), and the entire cast of the High School Musical movies.

The marketing strategy that Disney always portrays, especially with these young stars, is surprisingly brilliant; catering to children. Disney has perfected this strategy for decades ever since Mickey Mouse was Disney's major money maker. Children love cartoons. But children are also interested in other children that go through the same problems as them and are on TV. Young children, preteens, and some teenagers all love and admire the stars of Disney, especially young females. They watch the shows, they buy the DVDs, they buy the merchandise, the concert tickets, live audience tickets, anything that Disney has anything to do with; best believe the avid viewers will try to spend any amount of their parents' money to get their hands on it, whatever it may be.

My point is that Disney knows how to sell diamond studded crap. This could be a jealous potential kid star writing or a non-entertained adult writing. It could even be a writer who is fed up with all the mediocre-ness of these rich and wealthy young stars who thinks it is not fair. What or whoever it is one thing is for sure, Disney is a force that is not to be reckoned with. It is unstoppable. I can sit and pout and rant on about how much Disney sucks but that will just make me look like an angry idiot. I am in the minority number on this and I also know when I am licked. I am mixed with Disney and tip my hat at them without taking it off.
