It is now June, our next big Holiday will be the Fourth of July on that day most businesses is closed for the Holiday and everyone usually is planning for some sort of party for fun. We have a big Parade that goes down Central Street in Evanston every year, the people that live on that street have already marked their spots with chairs empty crates lines whatever they can fine to mark their spot, they also come out early on the Fourth of July to get a good seat to watch the parade march down Central Street some of the participant are their family and friends, so they want to get a good spot. There are marching bands all kinds of floats cheerleaders, some on bikes, there are also tricks, and a lot of beautiful colors they have music as well. some bring out the grill and just make a day of it while watching the parade, others are having parties in their backyard and barbecuing kids are playing, ice cream truck is passing by. Some are making desserts like strawberry shortcakes tops with whip cream, smoothies with strawberry's, ice, bananas, ice cream, some put alcohol just whatever you like to cool you off because it is usually really hot on that day. Then as the parade wind down around 3:00 P.M. some people go either back inside their homes, at lease the ones that live on the same street as where the parade was held, and others go back to their homes else where to finish up their barbecues and get ready for the big fireworks.

The fireworks, is held on the beach right next to Lake Michigan in Evanston, IL which starts at 9:00 P.M. at night just when the sun goes down but, if you get there early you can hear the music from the band, you have to also get there early to get a good seat because it's very crowded and you have to find a spot to place your chair, blanket, or just set on your car or on the rocks, grass, however you choose to enjoy the sights, you can hear the first bane! the sky lights up and everyone goes Wow!!! with excitement, they also have food, drinks, ice cream, they sell a lot of glow in the dark necklaces, bracelets, etc. to help keep up with your love ones. They always have new fireworks to add to the crowd excitement and when they blast it off the crowd goes Wow!!! clapping their hands full of joy and wanting more. Now it's closed to 10:00 P.M. and it's time for the grand finally Bang!!! Boom!!!! Pow!!! Bang!!! Bang!!!! Boom!!! and the sky lights up in all sorts of pretty colors the boom!!! is so loud you can feel it in your chest and as always they put on a great show, and than it's over and everyone claps, whistle, yell, yeah!!!!!!!!!! than everyone gets their stuff together and leave the beach on the Fourth of July.

On our way back to our cars the streets are jam pack, you have to walk very slow, streets are blocked off, it's best to walk to the beach for the show rather than drive that is what most people do. There are still some people popping fire crackers, and shooting off rockets, sparklers, smoke booms in the sky as we leave the beach, and the smell of fire crackers is still in the air on the Fourth of July.
