The Funniest Episodes of "Desperate Housewives"

Cheryl Williams
"Desperate Housewives" is filled with some unforgettable episodes. Anytime that Susan, Gabrielle, Bree, and Lynette get together, there are always memorable moments. Some of the most memorable moments, however, have come in those moments when the ladies have a chance to individually bring some comic relief to the show..

Naked in the bushes. Who can forget the episode in which Susan ends up naked in the bushes in front of her house? When she runs outside wearing nothing but a towel as she argues with her ex-husband, her towel gets caught in his car door right before he speeds away. Susan is left standing there naked. She runs to her porch and tried to cover herself with a potted plant. When she sees her love interest, Mike, coming toward the house, she jumps into the bushes lying flat on her back, hoping he will pass by without seeing her.

Monkey attack. Gabrielle has always wanted the best for her children, so she goes out of her way to provide them the best. Part of that is because she loves her children. Part of it is also because she wants everyone else to be jealous of her. Being humble is not one of Gabrielle's finest traits. When Gabby decides to have a birthday party extravaganza for one of her girls, the main attraction is a monkey who does tricks. The party is a big hit until the monkey goes beserk and attacks a clown. The ambulance is called and the clown is carried away on a stretcher, unconscious.

At the strip club. Bree is known as the perfect homemaker and doting mother. She is also known as being a perfectionist about most everything. Still, Bree has never held back when it comes to her children. When her teenage son slips out of the house to go to a strip club, Bree hatches a plan that involves no yelling or nagging. She simply goes to the club, sits down beside her son and his friends and orders a drink. She sits there with a big smile on her face as if enjoying the show. Needless to say, her son has no desire to watch a stripper with his mother sitting beside him, so he got up and left.

Splash! When Lynette and her family are attending the wake of a friend after her suicide, Lynette's 3 out-of-control boys jump into the swimming pool. Lynette, determined to reprimand them, jumps into the pool with the boys without a second thought and pulls them out of the pool. This comic scene was in the show's pilot and set the pace for following shows involving Lynette and her rambunctious children.

The antics of Bree, Susan, Lynette, and Gabrielle are never boring. To see them at their best, tune into "Desperate Housewives" at 9pm ET on ABC.
