It was the funniest thing
I saw my shadow
It seemed so empty
Just a black silhouette
And I wondered
Am I a ghost
I took her hand
Guided her home
And I wondered was I really dead
I never feel
Have never felt
Never taste
I'm never full
I can barely smell
And I don't really care about anything
Am I dead?
My soul was as full as my shadow
When I realized my heart dropped
I could hear the echo as it fell
Am I really dead?
Do I really care that I don't care
And I'm really dead?
So it wouldn't matter to care that I didn't care
Or blatantly give a hell.
