The Futility of Human Pride

Brett Davison
i am the master of this world

i have the kind power that makes people go mad

i can buy votes

i can take a human life and turn it inside out

i can force my will upon the world

i can do anything i want and nobody is going to stop me

i go to criminals and they ask me who to kill

i go to lawyers and they ask me who to sue

i go to the media and they ask me who to support

who cares if there is a man upstairs?

i am the god of earth!

I AM GOD

I MADE THIS WORLD

WHO ARE YOU?

Very good, Brett! Jeff you are a good lieutenant in the S-P army. The good thing is most Americans recognize the banner in which you march under.

    I like this. Good job.

Mike & Missy: I am glad that you could appreciate this. I am in the habit of writing my content on Word and then copying and pasting the result over to my submission. In the original, the words of God and the rich man had different fonts and also had a greater separation in regars to space. Unfortunately, the format used in the submission doesn't allow for this.

Jeff:I don't really know enough about Bush to say whether or not he deserves that comment but I find it interesting that it is the liberals who always talk about him. You say that Conservatives are all mindless followers of Bush or some other nonsense like that, even though I am indifferent toward Bush and many other Conservatives are just as hostile as you are to him.

Oh, I'm saying Bush is so delusional he would think of himself as the rich man, and as god.

Thanks for clarifying that, I was a little confused. Now that I understand, nice poem. There are alot of people who think theyre more important and powerful than God it seems. Boy will they get a rude awakening one day.

I'm confused, are you saying that George Bush is the rich man? In case you are misinterpreting the poem, all but the last lines are the words of a rich man who thinks he can do anything and that morality is for poor people. In his arrogance he declares himself to be a god. God then reacts with three lines. Each line portrays perfect simplicity because, unlike the rich man, God doesn't need to be wordy or elaborate. He speaks the truth, and it is something that the rich man will have to confront on the last day.

Was this poem lifted from George Bush's diary?
