The Gallbladder and Dry Bile

Why You Need Your Gallbladder

Gallbladder surgery can seem like a dream to those who were vomiting all day long and have horrible pain in the side or the stomach. However, your gallbladder is essential to helping you process fats. So, if you need it, then why are you having it removed?

The gallbladder has been talked about for many years as one of the useless organs you don't need. The gallbladder helps to process or break down fats, so without one you can't do that. So, if you don't have a gallbladder your body will have no outlet do do it's normal duty properly.

According to Dr. Leonid Macheret of Partners in Wellness Inc., in Fairfield, Ohio, your body digests foods with the natural bile that is produced in the stomach. When the gallbladder is removed, you no longer have bile to digest your food. So, you will need to take dry bile for the rest of your life. The gallbladder doesn't have to come out if you can get some natural treatment to flush it, but if you do, then you will need this dry bile.

There is a product I use called Betafood, which is made by Standard Process. Every supplement That Standard Process makes is completely vegan, and organic. The tablets don't have an enteric coating, so you get the full benefits of what you are taking. Your gallbladder needs the enzymes that this dry bile provides. Without the dry bile you cannot digest your food. So, if you can't digest your food what happens?

Eventually, you will struggle with constipation. The food will not be broken down or metabolize properly, so your fat cells will begin to expand. Taking a product like Betafood is the only way around this, so while you may not actually gain weight right away, your fat cells will begin to expand. This is why so many people gain weight when they have their gallbladder taken out. They will need to follow a relatively bland diet in the beginning since their digestive system is changing, but a low fat diet with more foods can be added in later.

You can avoid the surgery by doing a gallbladder flush, and that is a tremendous cleanse. My husband did it and it worked for him and he hasn't had problems since. Since my surgery, I have been put on Betafood which gives me the bile I need to digest my food properly and it makes a huge difference in how I feel. You can also use Papaya enzymes which tend to work really well, or you can get direction from your closest health food store. Try to seek out a holistic doctor in your area, and see if you can find one that is a medical doctor so that they have the understanding of medical doctors and the reasoning behind why they suggest having the gallbladder taken out.
