The Gardens Mall: Holiday Shopping in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

Dana Barnett
With the holiday season upon us, millions of people will be flocking to the malls this year to do their annual Christmas shopping. Although many consumers enjoy browsing for gifts in smaller venues, for some die-hard holiday shoppers, there is nothing like the great expanse of the local mall.

In South Florida, it can be rather difficult to get into the holiday spirit when the temperature is well above the 80 degree mark and a White Christmas is something we only hear about in songs and from our friends and family in other parts of the country. Even with the mild weather, though, South Floridians can still enjoy the holiday season at the Gardens Mall located in Palm Beach Gardens.

The Gardens Mall first opened in 1988 and immediately became a mecca for shopaholics in Palm Beach County. The beautifully designed Gardens Mall features over 100 high end stores including Bloomingdales, Sacks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. In addition to the big name department stores, the Gardens Mall is home to smaller shops such as Banana Republic, Betsey Johnson, and Nine West. There is something for everyone at the Gardens Mall, and although the shops typically cater to expensive tastes, there are stores for the rest of us who are not millionaires including Sears and Macys.

When you are finished with your holiday shopping, you can also enjoy a delicious meal at the Gardens Mall. P.F. Chang's serves up some excellent Asian cuisine, while Brio offers patrons authentic Italian food. Ruby Tuesday and California Pizza Kitchen also reside in the Gardens Mall, as well as a food court featuring cuisine from all over the world.

During the holidays, The Gardens Mall is quite an impressive place. This year, the mall is unveiling something truly unique. On November 17th, the Gardens will present the Enchanted Garden to mall visitors which is an enormous holiday extravaganza filled with over 30,000 lights and 1500 ornaments. Santa Claus will also be making his first appearance on November 17th, so make sure you bring the kids! In addition to the Enchanted Garden, as you make your way through the mall, you will be serenaded with holiday music and confronted with the sight of lavish decorations all around.

So even though there won't be snow this Christmas, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, there will still be holiday cheer and lots and lots of shopping at the Gardens Mall!

The Gardens Mall is located at 3101 P.G.A. Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens. The mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM until 9 PM and Sunday from noon until 6 PM. During the holidays, the Gardens Mall has extended hours so you can shop until you drop!
