Garmin makes it very easy to use the GPS Bluetooth. In order to set up the device, one simply has to have a cell phone that is enabled with Bluetooth. These days, almost every cell phone is enabled with Bluetooth, so you probably already have that on your cell phone, even if you did not know it. Once you have your cell phone on, it is time to program the device.
In order to enable the GPS Bluetooth, the cell phone must be set to find another device. The GPS Bluetooth will be found quickly, and you will be ready to make calls. It is that simple. You don't have to have an understanding of technology to enable the GPS Bluetooth and get it to function.
The first thing a consumer will notice when using the GPS Bluetooth on the Garmin nuvi 660 is the clarity of the phone calls. When making a call, the call can either go through car speakers, via the wireless internal FM transmitter, or through the GPS Bluetooth's internal speaker. Either way, the phone call is transmitted loudly and clearly throughout the vehicle.
If you choose to use the FM transmitter, simply hit the volume icon on the Garmin nuvi 660. Different choices will come onto the screen. You will then want to use the touch screen to go to the audio output. FM Transmitter and internal speaker will be your choices. Choose the FM Transmitter. Then have the GPS Bluetooth automatically search the channels on your FM radio for the best station to transmit your GPS Bluetooth on. When it has found a station, the station number will come up. Switch the radio to that station, hear the voice, and click "ok" on the GPS Bluetooth.
If hearing phone calls and driving directions through the speakers of your vehicle does not appeal to you, just allow the GPS Bluetooth to transmit through the internal speaker. The volume is easy to adjust via the touch screen. Maybe you would like your calls to be louder than the driving directions. Simply adjust the volume on the GPS Bluetooth with a touch of the finger. Everything is at your fingertips.
It is also simple to disable the Bluetooth on your cell phone. If you decide that you do not want to use the GPS Bluetooth while making calls, go back into the options on your cell phone and disable the device you are connected to. In a matter of minutes, the GPS Bluetooth will not be connected to your phone.
The Garmin nuvi 660 offers an affordable GPS Bluetooth that is both reliable and fun to use. Phone calls are safer with the hands free device, and the directions are amazing. Also, with perks such as hotels that can be called right through the GPS Bluetooth, traveling will be easier and more cost affordable than ever.
