The Genesis of Loviatar Her eyes glow fiercely in the twilight of her divine essence, there within lies a knowledge that encompasses everything. In the beginning, when the darkness and the light separated, her eyes were opened, for her existence came from that rending of the light and the dark. And her knowledge was that of suffering and pain. For the riving of the darkness and the light was pure agony, and this was her awakening to existence. Harnessing this anguish she felt, before it brought about her destruction, she gazed around herself and witnessed the birthing of the deities. Each affected by a piece of the light or the dark or the mixture of both. She noticed, however, that none felt the misery coursing through her, nor did they have to deal with the torment of the separation of the light and the dark. Realization came to her at that time, that all creation came from anguish and despair, for it was a powerful and painful process. Something, she would forever remember. Something, she would have to forever endure. Leering at the newly emerging deities, she swore they would all feel the misery and angst surging through her core. She would forever meet her Vengeance upon them and their activities. Turning towards a hate and chaos she felt in the darkness, she kneeled to the master of the night and all that is evil. Knowing, that his guidance would aid her ultimate goal. Knowing that all of creation was birthed from pain and the destruction, of which, would be pure agony. For eons, she was embraced by the darkness of Set. Quietly watching and learning, she eventually found Wisdom in the nature of Bilanx, and stepped from the darkness and into twilight. Renouncing her dominion over disease and claiming the very Wisdom of her nature and guidance. The Goddess bides her time, waiting, for she knows that it will all return to where it began. The pain of the reunion will be far more intense than that of the separation. She sits on her throne of blood and occupies her time by teaching those who would hear her words, and giving the power of misery and melancholy to those who are faithful to her cause. She teaches the musical and rapturous melody of anguish and suffering. Her eyes glow with the exultation of the dance. The worshippers of the light seek the destruction of the darkness and do so by wielding pain and Vengeance as their weapons. Those who walk a path of darkness and worship the Dark Deities mirror these acts, and pay homage to her Wisdom. Her teachings encircle all of existence and give enlightenment into the nature of the universe. Loviatar seeks a realm of misery and suffering. She wishes a dominion that blesses all mortals with the pain of life and understanding of the agony of existence. For, this is the purest and quickest way to find salvation. And any who defy such a world, shall feel the vengeance of a powerful, wrathful Goddess. For, she is Loviatar, The Goddess of Vengeance, Pain and Wisdom.
