The Ghosts of Fredericksburg Tour

Fredericksburg has a very long history, filled with death,. No less the four major battles including The Battle of Fredericksburg were fought in this small city and in the surrounding area. Historians estimate that 100,000 people lost there lives in this city during the civil war. In Historical Fredericksburg Virgina things have changed much since the times of the civil war but the City itself is much the same as it was in civil war times. Local residents will tell you though that the one thing that has never changed is that the soldiers and spirits of that time never left!

The "Ghost Tour", as the locals call it, runs Friday through Sunday evenings in August and Fridays and Saturdays in September, October, and November. For a very reasonable ticket price of $10 per person (Children 7 and under free) you will be taken on a candle lit walking tour of the haunted places in the City of Fredericksburg.

A tour guide dressed in Civil War attire will tell the story's of some of the most scary (and fun) places in Fredericksburg. Locals and Tourists alike every year take this journey. Some have even reported seeing ghosts themselves! A local tradition among young and old alike is to bring along a camera and see who can take the best "ghost" picture. The Tour itself lasts about 80 minutes and is a must an Halloween.
