Once upon a time, there lived a fearless giant in the land of Green Meadows. His name was Garth. He stood over twenty feet tall. He was strong and powerful. He had light brown hair and a crooked nose. His knees bore the scars of a dozen battles. Nobody had ever come close to defeating Garth.
Fortunately for the townspeople, Garth liked living in Green Meadows. He became their protector. One day, a terrible wizard came to the peaceful town. Zembrax was the name of this wizard, and he was very evil. He immediately cast a spell on the town turning all the people into children. Even Garth turned into a child. Wearing a long, flowing black cape, Zembrax strolled around the town telling the children that he was their master and that they were his slaves. Garth was still a tall giant. He was also very angry. He looked at Zembrax and cried out, "You're a bad man. All bad men must be punished."
Zembra laughed at Garth and said, "You are nothing but a child. You may be big, but you are still a child. I am not afraid of you. I shall show you some more of my magic. You shall fear me like the other children."
Garth didn't wait for Zembrax to release his magic. Garth grabbed a large rock and hurdled it at Zembrax. With the flick of his wand, Zembrax turned the rock into harmless pebbles. "Is that the best you can do?" mocked Zembrax. "Now face the full wraith of my anger."
Zembrax cast a magic spell at Garth. With swiftness of feet, Garth avoided being hit by the spell. This infuriated Zebrax. Again, he sent another spell Garth's way. This time Garth took out a pocket mirror and deflected the evil spell. Zembrax avoided the deflection and sent a powerful ball of energy at Garth. This time Garth batted the ball of energy away with a tree trunk. Now Garth was really mad. "You have caused enough harm to my friends. Say goodbye wizard." Garth picked up one hundred large stones and threw them all at the wizard.
"Foolish giant," shouted the wizard. "Stones cannot defeat me."
While Zembrax was busy destroying the stones, Garth cast a magic spell of his own. "Evil wizard all alone, now it's time to turn to stone." The spell directly struck at Zembrax. Instantly, the wizard turned into a stone statue. Suddenly, all the people who had turned into children, became adults again. Garth also changed back into an adult.
The townspeople flocked around Garth and proclaimed him to be a hero. All was peaceful once more in the little town of Green Meadows. No evil wizard ever bothered the town again thanks to Garth, a hero with a very large heart.
