It's a Friday night and browsing through the movies at a local Blockbuster or outside a Netflix box, you are probably wondering what movie to choose to entertain you. If you enjoy mysteries with scenes that make you jump and make your heart race, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will fulfill your Friday night entertainment.

Warning, the movie is subtitled so be prepared to read as you try to piece together this mystery of a girl, who could be missing or dead.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is based on the book written by Stieg Larsson. There is a journalist, Mikael Blomkvist, who is facing prison time, but has six months to solve a mystery. He is hired by Henrik Vanger to find out what happen to his niece, Harriet Vanger. Henrik believes that Harriet is dead and wants to know who committed this awful crime. During Blomkvist's research, the girl with the dragon tattoo, Lisbeth Salander, contacts him. Salander and Blomkvist discover what happened to Harriet and horrific crimes committed to several women.

This is a murder mystery movie that has twists and turns that make you wonder who could commit such heinous acts. The storyline is believable, because after the whole truth is revealed it is a story you may have watched on Dateline or 20/20. It will make you ponder the evil predators that live among us and how they can even think of committing such terrible crimes.

After watching The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I was anxious to watch the next movie in the series, The Girl who Played with Fire. Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist are in the sequel to intrigue us in yet another interesting storyline.
