Nobody ever takes a second look,
at the girl who is suffering.
She cries out for help,
nobody comes.
We are all speeding by,
never giving a second thought to the meaning of life.
Is there really a purpose to all of this?
Is here something on the other side?
If there is a God,
Why are we left wondering?
Why are we left scrambling?
trying to find happiness?
Is it all really worth it?
Or should it all end now?
Is there a heaven and hell?
What happens after life on earth?
Or does it all just end after we die?
The girl who is suffering,
has no one to comfort her.
Has no friends.
No one to talk to.
So she sits at home alone.
Wondering why she's hear.

Post a CommentThis poem reminds me of another time in my life... Very good poem!
Deep>:)
This poem makes me stop and think - do I take the time to really notice everyone / everything going on around me? I agree with Donald - We are never truly alone.
Very deep, great!
some deep thoughts here, Emily. Believe me, God is always there. All you have to do is believe and sit down and have a talk with Him. You're never alone.
The age old question pondered by philosophers for centuries; Why are we here?
Deep and powerful as well as keenly observational. I just wrote a piece about suffering and depression from a varied angle. Take a look if youse gets time: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5931566/spider_fly.html?cat=10
