"THE GLEE PROJECT"
No, it's nothing like the Manhattan Project or Roswell related. It's something associated with the popular TV show. Yes, "Glee."
One would think you would not need a show like this, to be honest. It is a new reality show that will allow the winner be on the show. Huh? Don't they already have enough people willing to audition now?
Well, on June 12 on the Oxygen channel, one can get a glimpse of what this show is all about. Here's the formal and frankly, easy description for it.
"The Glee Project," where performers will compete for a multi-episode guest-starring role on season three of hit series "Glee," will premiere on Oxygen in June 2011.
As you prep for the first show, here are the songs those who auditioned could sing.
Audition songs:
"No Air" (Jordin Sparks)
"Hate on Me" (Jill Scott)
"Alone" (Heart)
"One of Us" (Joan Osbourne)
"And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" (from "Dreamgirls")
"Every Rose Has Its Thorn" (Poison)
"Baby One More Time" (Britney Spears)
"Gives You Hell" (All American Rejects)
"Don't Rain On My Parade" (Barbra Streisand)
"To Sir, with Love" (from "To Sir, with Love")
Now, this show will not only be about singing, but the producers are looking for that spark that makes someone a Gleek. Auditions are done and the 12 contestants are ready to compete. It has been noted that 40,000 people auditioned, and not just young kids.
But, it is these 12 who will get their chance.

Post a CommentI also thought the show was kinda pointless, but there are some talented singers on it. I don't think I'll be watching that often though.
