The Go Fish guys are unashamedly Christian. They sing the Gospel to kids in an exciting way that kids can understand. I love that about them. They even sing the ten commandments in kid a kid friendly, yet educational way. They also sing some amazing, old hymns and worship choruses, too. But they also do some super renditions of favorite kids' songs like, "The Wheels on the Bus" and the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" on their album, Party Like a Preschooler. My preschooler loves it!
The Go Fish guys are made up of Jamie Statema, Jason Folkmann, and Andy Selness. They pride themselves not just on making great music, but on sharing the Gospel. Their focus is always on kids and their parents, and not just becoming the next number one single. The Go Fish guys don't advertise much, but you can find them on twitter (gofishguy), facebook (www.facebook.com/gofishguys), and Youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/user/gfguys ). You can purchase their music right from their website (www.gofishguys.com) or visit www.amazon.com to find it there.
If you're into videos, you won't go wrong with the "Let's Sing" DVD. It has high energy music, dancing, live shots from their concerts, and great singing. My son loves the little ditty about the cow that gives ice cream... moo, moo, moo, moo. I'm sure that you and your kids will love it, too.
You can catch the Go Fish guys live in concert - just check their website, www.gofishguys.com, for tour dates and more information. Kids will love their high energy, silliness, but moms and dads, I promise you won't be bored either. Their music is fun for the entire family. While you're at it, sign up for their newsletter and you can download a free song from their website.
So if you're ready for some unique children's music, that reinforces family values and teaches kids about Jesus, give the Go Fish guys a listen. You - and your children - will be glad that you did!
