The Golden Cockatoo has been in business for 28 years and has an excellent reputation. I first found it when I was heading to a shopping center on Powerline and saw the bright blue canopy. They open at 10 each day and have ample parking. They are wheel chair accessible. They are both a retailer and wholesaler.

Rick and Ian own the store and Katie, who works there is another person to see when you are shopping for anything involving birds. They are all attentive, well informed and wonderful to deal with. One of the young gals at the cash register can be a very snarky but she is quite young and good help is hard do find so don't let her put you off shopping here. Just avoid her and deal with the other personnel there.

The service is excellent, my sister buys her supplies here all the time . She purchased bird seed here and it turned out to be missing certain seeds her bird is used to. they helped straighten this issue out through many calls to the manufacturer and went out of their way to satisfy her (and her bird).and her choice of food.

The Golden Cockatoo is an excellent place for any supplies you might want. There is packaged seed and also plastic seed dispensers, each marked with the contents and type of bird it is suited for. The major brands are available in packages of different sizes. You will find brands like, Zupreem, Prettybird, Harrison Bird Diet (pellets) and Kaytee, Higgens and Goldenfeast regular and organic seed, nut, fruit and grain . The Golden Cockatoo carries it's own organic seed fruit and nut mixes and sulfite free bird food. I must mention I have never seen so much a s a free flying moth in the store, that's how clean it is.

There are the cutes little bird pockets for carrying your bird or for your bird to hide in. Walk the aisles, don't miss a thing. I like to just visit the place. I've owned Macaws, Red Headed Amazons and Goffin Cockatoos and I've done bird adoption. I find it a pleasure to just stroll through the store.
