The Golden River of Never-Ending Bliss

Wayne Howard

Come away with me,
My love, my dear one.
My ship with scarlet sails awaits the tide,
The tide whose ebb will carry us to distant shores
Where kindness, equity and mercy all abound,
And sunsets are forever.

Come and brave the sea,
My joy, my beloved.
Together we will face the raging storm.
The deadly tempest cannot part us from each other,
We two, whose love can quell the fearful gale,
And circumvent disaster.

Come and stand with me,
My treasure, my delight.
Our ship with scarlet sails skips atop the waves,
The waves which crash upon those distant shores
Where winds blow lightly, full of tropic warmth,
And pain is not remembered.

Come lie down with me,
Adored and cherished one.
Our little ship has crossed the placid bay
And sails beneath the ivory arch at river's mouth
Where gentle gusts propel us up the golden stream
And we are lost in one another.

Come and stay with me,
My love, my dear one.
The setting sun has touched the West's horizon,
While we sail upon the golden river of never-ending bliss.
With us, kindness, equity and mercy all abound,
And sunsets are forever.

If only it were that easy to simply sail away with the love of your life, I guess you probably could once you find them, or they find you, that's the hard part. I loved this piece, it definitely took me to the infinite possibilities within the ocean of love. Thanks!!!

This is awewsome! It accurately illustrates the fact that a relationship worth having is not always a smooth sail, but that safe haven awaits at the end of the voyage. Great job!
